Warning: It is highly recommended that you apply a label to the replace the long path name in your catalog list than to rename the physical file. To apply a lable, select the item and press Ctrl + L key.

CatalogVX allow you to rename the actual picture file of an item. This option is only available for picture type files such as JPEG (*jpg), Bitmap (*.bmp) and a few other picture formats. There are four rename options available from the tools menu. You may rename the file under the selected item, rename all files under the selected subcategory, rename all picture files in the item list base on the subcategory name. Rename all Mark items base on the item's subcategory name. Note that once you rename a file using any of the above method, this process can not be undone. If you wish to reverse the process you will have to rename the files again manually. As a general rule, you want to rename files before applying a labels to an item.
Renaming the Current Item:
To rename the current item follow the instructions below.
1) Select the item from the list.
2) Select the Tools/Rename Item's Picture File/Select Item or press Ctrl+N after step 1.

3) In the dialog box, enter the new name of the file and press the rename icon.
This will change file name on the hard disk and on the item list. To perform the another type of rename, simply follow the same procedure and select the type rename you want to perform from the Rename Item's Picture File submenu.
