CD Introduction Options
These options give you the ability to control how your CD catalog will be launch when being viewed by the user for the first time. For example you can display a basic start message, and extended start message or no message during CD startup. You may need to experiment with the different options to find the correct combination that meets your needs.
Introduction Message.
To activate or not activate a message on your CD catalog, you can select one of the three check marks.
Active basic "Start" message.
Active extended "Start" message.
Do not display a message.
To active a simple startup message to the user select [Active basic "Start" message].
To active an extended message to the user select [Activate extended "Start" message].
An extended message will give the user more detail instructions on how to use the CD catalog, but this type of message takes up more space on the catalog screen.
To not display a message select [Do not display a message].
Full Screen Mode
To open your CD catalog in Full Screen mode, select open CD viewer is full screen mode.
CD Expiration Date
To set an expiration date for a CD click on the [Use expiration date for this catalog].
Setting this option will display a message to the user after the selected date. The user will be reminded to order a new CD catalog. The user will continue to be able to view the CD after the message is displayed.
Menu Options
You may select the standard tree menu or the XP style menu for newer computers.
Tree Menu:
The tree menu will give you 3 levels of detail and is the standard menu that is use by the PAC to quickly locate, edit, and insert items.
Navigation Menu:
The Navigation Menu is a more professional looking menu however, it is only for 2 levels:
Sub-category and Individual items. Selecting the Navigation menu will automatically sort the items in alphabetical order. This will enable your users to quickly find individual items under the subcategory.
